Everyone wants to get the best looking clothes out there for very cheap prices. This does not mean we will go for any cheap clothes, we want brand names clothes. So some of us will sometimes buy high quality fake clothes.

 When people think of fake clothes they think that anything and everything fake is pretty much the same. However there are actually many different types of fakes, just like real clothes. Like we have in real clothes we have high quality clothes made from high end fabrics and some cheap clothes made from cheap goods. These high quality fakes are known as replicas; these replicas tend to be a little bit more expensive than other fake clothes but still are significantly cheaper than its real counterpart. Now we don’t want to link you to any websites selling counterfeit goods but a simple search on Google of replicas and fakes brings up several results.

So this weeks blog post is a helpful tip in the form of a video. I'm pretty sure no one wants to get cheated with fake clothes especially if your paying thinking it's real. So to keep you guys informed here is a video.

HOW TO SPOT A FAKE

In order to spot a fake it is essential to know where your product is coming from and if it is authentic or not. Since, brand names are pretty expensive and not everyone can afford wearing brand names, they look for other sources that provide them cheaper prices. There are discounts available but to spot a fake it’s important to always double check with the brand website whether the product is authentic or not. Most designer products are high valued products with prestige so it is highly unlikely that they will be half or more price off or extremely cheap in comparison to the real ones. Since people like to wear brand names and some cannot afford, they fall victim to fake products. So they must learn how to spot a fake by keeping in mind the prices and always double checking if the website is approved by the company itself. Most products are listed and registered under serial numbers and they also have specific designs and logos that must be registered.

DOES THIS FEEL REAL?

When you are in any showroom you just don’t see the items that are displayed on walls and hangings you also go ahead and touch the clothes personally to get a feel of the material the crafting and stuff of the cloth but there are also times when you get the feeling of doubt by touching the material.

A real story that happened with me can be related over here, a friend of mine went to a Tommy Hilfiger showroom with me and started browsing the clothes he came across a really attracting shirt that he got his eye on. He was in the middle of the admiration of that shirt till he touched that and felt that the material was not as good as the shirt looked I also took a look and felt the same thing and he said this seriously does not feels real.

LOST MY JOB BECAUSE PEOPLE BUY FAKES

 Today I’ll be telling a story about how buying fakes may affect people around the world. We will move away from fake cloths and talk about fake products in general and how it led to funding being stopped in my situation

This story is actually of a friend of mines who worked for a donation charity. While he worked there one of their top sponsors and donors was a very big animation film production house. Just last year he was laid off along with many of his other coworkers. When they asked why they were informed the film production house had stopped its funding so the charity had to let go of some people. They funding was stopped because the production house was losing way too much money so they had to cut some expenses. That same year that production house announced that it was losing millions of dollars because of piracy and their movies getting leaked online and downloaded illegally. So because people buy fake products, my friend lost his job and the studio cut several jobs too because of piracy.]

How many more people do you think are affected by this black market every year?

HOW DOES TOMMY FEEL ABOUT FAKE?

Companies take it very seriously and do not support the people selling fake brands under their company’s name. It costs them money to fight these people and protect their brand image and it also devalues the brand itself. It is also unfair to people who pay full price for these brands because it becomes so common and worn by everyone, so the real satisfaction level of wearing that brand decreases. Big brand companies come up with unique designs for their customer and spend money on copyrights, logos and trademarks. So it is not cost-effective for them to have people selling fake products of their brand. Some people take fashion very seriously as well as the companies providing products. So providing fake products can plague the company and brand, also can also shift people away from it. So what companies do these days about fake products is that they try to find out where the fake products are coming from and take legal action against them.

WHO HAS THE STRONGER SHARE OF FAKE MARKET?

Not all the people start to think over but whenever they think about it, they get to this question in their minds that, which has the bigger share in the online world. The answer is always visible to us and anyone can check it right now, all you need to do is to look up for the online store of the brand you are looking for, which will be the official website of the company, which is sometimes divided by country or region(.com/.ca/.UK). Then look for the unknown website that is selling the exact same cloths at very low prices. No one realize this when they shop for the cheaper one and get happy but this happiness doesn't last long enough because when the delivery is made, you feel like you have been cheated. This all happens because internet is a free source and no one is there to guide you over fake or real products and you can always bump up to these websites because they have a very big share over the internet.

DO PEOLE LIKE FAKE CLOTHES OR NOT?

The question whether people like it or not like the low priced fake products can be answered in both ways because the people who like wearing branded cloths wear these to define their style statement and they will always say no to the fake products as these sell very rapidly and makes the unique products a common one because they cannot be differentiated with the eye. But on the other side there are people who doesn’t have enough money or the people who do not wish to spend enough money on expensive branded clothes. These type of people will definitely like it. So there are two different views over this issue. But it is not only about the people that they like it or not, it is also not legal to sell products under any brand name as the companies spend huge amount of money on designing their unique, new products and register them under their name. So if the products are copied, legal action can be taken on the people selling the fake products.

CAN I TRUST BRANDS LIKE TOMMY?

This is serious question to be asked; I can’t say this any better than any other person can but Tommy Hilfiger being such a successful global brand would not risk its reputation and the brand image to gain money illegally. Tommy Hilfiger is a trusted brand  and it has its proper industries where these clothes are made and all the clothes delivered by the distributors to wholesalers and retailers are under full supervision and the full chain of supply is under quality check as I mentioned above.

The more you see of the Tommy fake clothes the more you get frustrated because you know that people will also at some point think that the shirt or the jacket or any accessory that you are wearing is fake and is cheap quality. This type of things reduces the brand loyalty of the customers and the business suffers huge losses.

Is it wrong to buy a fake jacket?

If I buy fake clothes am I hurting anyone? Good clothes are priced so high I think there is nothing wrong with buying counterfeit because we are being ripped off by brands anyways.

Yes, it is wrong to buy counterfeits because when you buy fake cloths of any sort you are supporting criminals. Many people tend to use the excuse that the real thing is too expensive. The reason it’s so expensive is because brands are losing lots of money to black markets that sell fake clothes. To make up for these losses they price their clothes even higher, so technically you are responsible for these high prices. Not only that but you are not only funding criminals in their counterfeit activities in clothes but many others from games, DVDs, and many more. In a future blog post we will tell a story where counterfeits led to a personal experience.

What are common excuses for people that support criminals buy buying fake?

QUALITY CONTROL CHECKS

Tommy Hilfiger is well aware of the fake Tommy market that has spread globally and is growing in large numbers. Tommy can’t do much about this but the one thing that they are able to do is post a quality control  check on their own cloth manufacturing’s so that no one could come into their stores and question their quality. Tommy has taken a wide number of steps including putting up a chain management system which keeps a full track of the production and also the distribution of authentic Tommy Hilfiger clothes.

This is a very good step taken by Tommy Hilfiger because everyone is worried about the brand image of Tommy Hilfiger a second thought always comes in everyone’s mind who buy a Tommy accessory because of the random fake clothes seen everywhere. WHERE AND WHO MAKES THESE FAKE JACKETS

Before researching on this topic, I always thought that all these fake jackets and cloths are produced in one country but the results were shocking when I figured out that the fake cloths are not the ‘Real Industrial’ products but they are mostly home-made or small industry products. Then the next question was that how they made it on such a large scale but this one was simple, just because it is not so difficult to sell over the internet, countless people have started making these fake products to sell them online. Nowadays people think that their outer impression is everything and jacket makes up their style and prestige so it’s better for them to wear branded jacket rather than wearing all the branded clothes which will be covered up by the jacket. That’s where the target market for fake clothing manufacturer jumps in, so they produce more of the fake jackets and sell them at lower prices on the internet. So you should be extra cautious whenever you shop online because you cannot figure out that the less priced jacket you are looking for is a real jacket or fake one.

Tommy Hilfiger jackets have been in fashion for a long long time and these jackets are way too much expensive in the market these jackets are mainly produced for one and one reason only that is STYLE. People want others to think about their expensive lifestyles and they accomplish that by wearing stylish and expensive clothing like Tommy Hilfiger.

Starting with the first most expensive jacket, a simple black plain leather jacket is worth $284 plus taxes. These jackets drop down in prices and quality and fall onto $50 to $80 jackets. It’s like no matter what jacket you wear but if it is Tommy and has a flashy Tommy sign on it then you will rock. FAKE vs REAL CLOTHING: WHY ARE FAKES SO MUCH CHEAPER?

Fake market clothing is almost like a virus only and it keeps on spreading and spreading, this viral has become almost impossible to stop. Tommy Hilfiger has faced a great percentage of downs sale because of the fake Tommy clothes sold. Fake clothes are just normal regular clothes they are not high end designs, they do not bear any special cotton or any other fabric but they do have a real looking fake Tommy sign which sometimes becomes impossible to recognize. Fake clothes do not last much longer that is why they are so much cheaper.

My advice before buying cheaper fake clothes checks your budgets if you can spend the same amount of money again and again after a few while. Thing is buying long lasting original new clothes with better quality is more sensible than short spanned cheap fake clothes.

FAKE vs REAL CLOTHING: DOES THE QUALITY MATTERS WHEN BUYING FAKE

When we buy a product we tend to look at the price and see if it justified by the quality of the product. Should this be the same case when buying a fake?

Do you really care about the quality of a fake product when buying? Or do you by it simply for the brand? This can be argued both ways, because when we buy products we want the best quality for our money but yet we are going out and buying something fake so we know quality won’t be up to par with the real thing. People buy cheap fake clothes so that they can make an impression on the people around them; this impression is usually made

by the brand of what you’re wearing not the quality. So truthfully speaking quality should not matter when buying a fake unless you don’t want your associates finding out it’s fake. In that case you can buy a high quality fake instead of cheap brand clothes so that your friends won’t be able to tell the difference between the two.

Real and fake is something which has a great difference in it clearly, the quality is much better, durability is more and it is manufactured from a trusted company all these attributes are there in there in original clothes. Fake clothes are in fashion because of some reasons and these reasons being like people who clearly can’t afford original clothes buy fake, people who can buy original clothes but still buy fake clothes because they think that fake is as good as real, well to be true it is not.

Times were different when we always had to go out for shopping at the sores. And at that time, faking a product wasn't as easier because the outlets had to be specific on what they do and people could not easily fake, not only because of the technology but also because of unavailability of resources. Nowadays days, with the increase in social media networks, buying and selling has become easier. But with the increase in technology and availability of resources, it has been very easy to produce fake cloths and selling them over the internet is not a tough job, anyone can sell anything over internet now. This all has given a big rise to the fake clothing market industry. People in these industries can easily look at the real and unique designs of best clothing brands at their websites and easily make clones which are so identical that no one can tell the difference between a fake cloth and branded one.
